A Grand Idea

The dialogue among many of us across the nation lasted five years.  It became clear we needed an association that serves the particular needs of college counselors in independent schools.  ACCIS was conceived to address practical issues related to our work and also those objectives related to the future of our educational roles in independent schools.

Why You Are Important

Your role as a General Member is significant in helping ACCIS navigate its present and future status.  We need your leadership as we develop innovative programming and communications to assist college counselors and independent schools all over the United States and to provide them with a significant voice in national college admission and college counseling dialogues.

Current members:

We are in the process or transitioning to a new data management system (NetForum) that will significantly upgrade our membership support, billing, and communication processes.  We had hoped that we would be able to complete the 2010 - 2011 membership renewal and billing process using this new system, but rather than rush through the transition, we decided to complete one more cycle with the same process we have used previously.  An invoice addressed to the primary contact we have in our system will be arriving in your office in the next few days.~ Please complete the invoice and return it with payment as soon as possible so that you can keep your school's membership in ACCIS current.

You should also be on the lookout for another email over the next month or so that will direct you to go to the ACCIS portion of the NetForum website. It is our expectation that you (or a designated member of your staff) will complete this membership information and in the process get an introduction to potential for this new resource for all ACCIS members.

Return completed versions of both forms along with a check for $ 150.00 payable to “ACCIS” to the following address:

Once your membership commitment and payment has been received and our new data management system (NetForum) is up and running, you will be sent an email directing you to the ACCIS portion of the NetForum website so that you (or a designated member of your staff) can complete the on-line membership information portfolio.~
