Audit/Review

Overview
ACCIS provides college counselors and their respective independent schools the opportunity to assess their current best practices and to enhance their dashboard indicators in an ever-demanding marketplace. Whether through a full Audit or a more focused Review process, ACCIS is ready to provide professional advice for colleagues to improve and develop themselves, their offices, their service to students and parents, as well as a wide range of constituents (e.g. faculty, administrators, alumni, trustees, college representatives).

While these opportunities are meant to assist college counselors, they are also meant to help schools become better educational institutions. Education is at the core of our work, and college counseling offices are the conduit between the internal and external constituencies that work with our learning environments.

We offer two approaches: Audit and Review.

Audit
The Audit is the most robust and includes an internal and external audit. From assessing the strengths of the program to identifying needs that are not being met in an ever-demanding profession, the Audit team will capture a perspective that is sure to offer insight. The Audit will include consult with college admission representatives. Using carefully crafted questions and anonymity, colleges speak candidly about a variety of topics to the Requesting Member School (RMS). From the Audit questionnaire, a prospective secondary school can opt to include, or exclude, any part of the Audit. Additional details for the Audit:

1) The Audit Team will be on your campus for 3 days (minimum of 2 if weather is an issue)
2) Audit Team (minimum of 4 people) provides an electronic report
3) Fee: $5,000 plus expenses (transportation, accommodations, and meals) for all Audit Team members

To request an Audit, please submit an Audit/Review request form, or for more information, please contact Emmi Harward, Executive Director.
Please Note: Audit Requests can be made from January 1st through November 1st for the following academic year. Audits are only available in January, February, March and April.

Review

The Review focuses on a particular area of concern. The specifics are identified in the questionnaire and the Review Team strategizes about how best to address the concern. From the questionnaire, a prospective secondary school can opt to include or exclude any part of the Review. Additional details for the Review:

1) The Review Team (minimum of 3 people) will be on campus for 1 day
2) The Review Team provides an electronic report
3) Fee: $2000 plus expenses (transportation, accommodations, and meals) for all Review Team members

To request a Review, please submit an Audit/Review request form or for more information, please contact Emmi Harward, Executive Director.
Please Note: Review Requests can be made from January 1st through November 1st for the following year. Reviews are only available in January, February, March and April.
