On the morning of Thursday, September 25th, more than 100 college counselors from independent schools across the nation gathered for the first Annual Meeting of the Association of College Counselors in Independent Schools. This meeting was another essential step in moving ACCIS from a good idea to a full-fledged national organization.

Rankings of colleges and schools do more harm than good for students and parents trying to make sound decisions. ACCIS tried to stop an effort to rank schools in the summer of 2007.
