Rankings of colleges and schools do more harm than good for students and parents trying to make sound decisions. ACCIS tried to stop an effort to rank schools in the summer of 2007.
Now the same person is trying again, contacting schools (especially our admissions offices to get their yield rate) as an “independent educational consultant.”

The more unified we all can be—if we are—the better luck we will have stopping those who think that ranking—colleges or schools--is helpful.
