ACCIS Board of Directors Meet @ the College Board National Forum

The ACCIS Board of Directors met for the first time in a morning meeting on November 6, 2008 at the College Board National Forum in Houston, Texas.  In attendance were Hector Martinez, Marcia Hunt, Rhody Davis, and Marty Elkins.  Carl Ahlgren and Bruce Hunter were unable to attend. 

It was productive and thorough meeting, as the directors reviewed all aspects of the ACCIS organization, discussed membership issues, made plans for growth, and investigated comprehensive ways to institute organizational strength and stability.  Action items for the future include a membership drive, survey of the executive committee, recruiting board members, developed a job description for the Executive Director, creating sessions for future conferences, setting up a strategic planning meeting at the ACCIS Summer Institute, and gathering by-law templates for the board. 

The Board of Directors left Houston with high hopes for the future of ACCIS!
